This new agreement following ratification on first youth agreement between two countries back in 2006. Under this agreement, Italian youth are having more options to gain life and work experience through International Experience Canada Program (IEC) via three streams: Working Holiday, International Co-op and Young Professionals. Canada has signed mobility agreement with 36 countries and territories so far. Canadian youth also benefit from obtaining valuable experience in those countries.
Program requirements:
- aged 18 to 35 years old
- work and travel for up to 12 months in Canada every time
- up to twice, that is 24 months for each participant
Now the IEC program goes through the online Expression of Interest (EOI) system, candidates who accept the invitation to apply may proceed as an applicant. You can check your eligibility using IRCC’s online tool.
